We are pleased to inform you that as part of our commitment to continuous product improvement, following the update of our Taurus wireless product line, we have now evolved also the design of our wired addressable detectors’ series, with the installation of a refined insect screen, as illustrated in the before-and-after images below:

The product part modification specifically addresses the balance between smoke detection capabilities and the prevention of spurious body access, such as dust and insects, within the optical chamber.
The upgrade, effective from February, 3rd 2025, will affect all addressable wired detectors’ series, including its OEM derivatives.
In conjunction with the plastic part modification mentioned above, we have introduced a new Infrared Emitter LED that produces an exceptionally focused emitter beam. The cross-section snapshot of the old and new chamber is provided below:

This improvement not only maintains sensitivity to airborne particulates, such as smoke, but also enhances resilience against spurious bodies like settled dust and small fibers adhering to the chamber walls.
We are pleased to confirm that this enhancement has undergone extensive testing and has been approved according to EN54 standards. Relevant CPR certificates will be amended on the same CPR numbers. No major action is required from our OEM customers, but we kindly request that they update their document databases with the latest release.
